Former feminist and atheist Murray presents a powerful, insightful account of her journey from a radical feminist and nihilistic lifestyle to a seriously committed Christian woman, revealing and critiquing her former errant feminist ideas about the meaning of womanity, sexuality, love, motherhood, children, morality, men, etc. Even though she attained a masters degree in English and a Ph. D. in Philosophy, for many years after her college life, including as a philosophy professor, she lived the life of a feminist rebel. Her story of how she escaped from that darkness into the light of Gods truth and goodness is an inspiring witness for all., Confessions is the honest and heart-rending account of a woman who was born into a Catholic family, attended parochial schools and fully embraced the beliefs of her faith, but ran into major roadblocks in college. Amidst the radical feminist college environment of the 1960's, she lost her faith, and her morality, jumping aboard the bandwagon of "free love." She indulged in a series of love relationships in college, all of which crashed and burned. Despite the obvious contradiction between feminist teachings and her own experience, Murray still believed she had to free herself from the yoke of tradition. Shipping SUCKED!! Took 20 days to travel from Florida to Pennsylvania. It arrive way after the first proposed arrival day. I know media mail is slow but I order used books all the time about 50 so far this year and the longest its ever taken is 14 days and that was from Oregon.
