We have hundreds of these in the field with lots of repeat customers this is the first I have heard of leaking they are either not tight or cross threaded. Range is the result of the gallons per minute you feed the sprinkler with as well as the available psi. You should be getting 38-41 feet of radius if you are getting less one of those two factors are low, if you are expecting more at the proper psi/gpm you need a 3/4" sprinkler.Thanks!
