Not even sure why it would be there but at one point someone permanently destroyed the gas line rather than just using a Swagelok plug. Messaged seller but received no response. It might have been many years stored before being released for disposal. I bought it around a year ago along with 3 other 6890. Have you tried to clean as per your message?
