You can't use an external hard drive with it, has to be a flash drive and only a CERTAIN KIND of flash drive, USB 3.0 or something, anything less causes the audio to be unsynced. Also, if the movies run longer than 2 hours and 10 minutes, this machine splits the movie into 2 separate files which you then have to "join" on the computer on your own.

I have this for recording off of a GL2 and it’s probably your best option if recording off tape cameras due to its big screen and easy buttons. Looks very nice on top of my cold shoe mount. Big shoutout to these guys for refurbishing these, it’s the cheapest route to tape recording!
