From the photo I assumed it was dust. Thanks for Pentax super Multi coating, it resisted. There was also sticky stuff on the rear element. Shipping was fast although packaged in broken foam which stuck to the lens. There was a bonus 2x converter attached to it. Packaging and description should be improved, otherwise I'm happy because I was able to restore it.
