I placed it behind the screen but I've noticed some pressure marks while the screen is on, so I would recommend that anyone doing this mod place the converter board elsewhere - I'm planning to move mine under the keyboard the next time I have a chance. Overall this was a good purchase, and well worth doing if you're determined to keep your ancient thinkpad in service.
