    The purchased needle, when compared with the original Shure N77 needle, has two aspects, one positive: it has an higher output level than the original while the negative aspect is that this stylus "sounds" very different. The original stylus is clear and "sounds" like..tz..tz..while this one "sounds" decidedly more boxed like..tc..tc..but, you can still adjust through the mixer equalizer. So, don't expect maximum performance because it doesn't. But for the price, it's worth a try...
