They were a bit busy, but once I knew where to look, I saw that the listing pictures showed the defect, though the details didn't mention it. I contacted the seller. The response was basically "oops, sorry." No offer to refund or anything. I went through the return process and immediately got a refund, but no comment from the seller. While the responses were fast, the communication left a lot to be desired. My response was sincere, not like "I did not care". I have a great track record on eBay after over 20 years of selling. It was not mentioned that I not only refunded the full amount which included free shipping to the buyer but I also refunded with no expectation to send the earrings back, meaning I took the full loss from making the mistake. I think that was more than fair. Thank you.
