It is relatively light and the optics appear good. this is an AIR GUN scope, but on that measure is should be capable of rimfire, I'll let you know in time as mine is going on a HMR. Dialling in is always an issue on cheaper scopes, and I can't comment on the effectiveness in that area of this scope yet! Better made and presented than I expected and part of Vector Optics who are pretty big on scopes!
