The lack of a blank does not affect the function of the laptop, but it did not look complete without one. Did a search on eBay for an SD card blank and landed with the seller with good reputation and a fair price. I ordered it and it arrived in time. Looks great and is OEM and it matches the color of my laptop. Now the laptop looks complete. Thanks!

There wasn't any signs of previous use other than maybe a bit of oxidization on the mounting that doesn't affect functionality. I could have believed it if someone told me that the unit was brand new. I personally had an issue with an incorrect chipset revision but the seller resolved it quickly. I would highly recommend the product and seller.
