The ASUS P5P43TD Xtreme Design Motherboard is a system level, energy saving, powerful motherboard with a turbo key feature. This key turns the PC power button into an overclocking button that boosts performance for gaming or any data-intensive work. Power saving for the ASUS P5P43TD Xtreme Design Motherboard is conducted by analyzing current computer loads and moderating power to adjust VGA cards, fans, and hard drives, given system use. The chipset is an Intel P43 / Intel ICH10, ddr3. The dual channel memory architecture supports one DIMM per channel only, when overclocking to 1600MHz. Expansion slots include one PCIe 2.0 x 16, two PCIe, and three PCI slots. This motherboard has built-in Atheros L1E Gb LAN and 12 USB ports. Audio on the ASUS P5P43TD Xtreme Design Motherboard is delivered by the ALC high definition audio 8-channel CODEC with audio jack detect, and multi-streaming technology. The p5p43td audio card has an S/PDIF optical output. Special features of the ASUS P5P43TD Xtreme Design Motherboard hardware include the Turbo Key, an EPU-4 engine, RAM, ASUS express gate, and ASUS EZ Flash 2. ASUS EZ Flash 2 is a user-friendly BIOS update tool that helps easily keep the device current. It also includes an ASUS Q-Fan and an ASUS MyLogo2. The ASUS Q-Fan adjusts fan speed according to cooling needs, to save power while keeping the CPU running cool, and the ASUS MyLogo2 lets a user quickly change a photograph into a 256-color boot logo. Internal I/O connections on the ASUS P5P43TD Xtreme Design Motherboard include 6 USB 2.0 ports, 1 IDE connector, 6 SATA connectors, 1 S/PDIF optical out, 1 system panel connector, 1 front panel audio connector, 1 CPU, and 1 chassis fan connector, 1 CD audio in connector, 1 24-pin EPS 12-volt power connector, and 1 4-pin ATX 12-volt power connector. The ASUS P5P43TD Xtreme design ram motherboard BIOS is 8MB Flash ROM AMI BIOS with special H/W write protection, PnP, DMI v2.0, WfM2.0, SMBIOS v2.5, and ACPI v2.0a. Accessories included are a user’s manual, 1 I/O shield, 1 UltraDMA 133/100/66 cable, and 2 SATA cables.
