The block was a little thicker than 3 in and had been routed 1/4 in sideways around the entire top and 1/4 in vertically around the side of the top in a step pattern looks like if I cut that off I will still have the dimensions I need but i think that info should have been provided. That could have been an issue if i didn't have a saw.
