I also did some test sewing on it and it sewed very nicely. The needle was not quite centered but that was an easy fix. My granddaughter is going to be so excited to have her own sewing machine. And the Hello Kitty design is adorable. Like others have said the instructions are in Japanese but english versions are easily found on the internet.
