The remote works well, but it is made of very thin plastic; so it won't last long. The remote came with a battery in it, but the battery was already dead! Overall, this adapter and remote are good value.

Rather than a spring loaded holding mechanism, this has a screw mechanism that allows you to adjust the tension you want on your phone and case. Price was very reasonable along with free shipping.
