They were brand new except the box had no top.(I didnt care) The shoes came very quickly and the seller had wrapped the lid-less box securely so that the shoes were protected. Five stars! Seller used tissue paper and foam packing to safeguard the integrity of the shoes. My one disappointment was that I clicked on an eBay link for getting $10 off the item which would ave covered the shipping for me. This did not happen. I had to pay full price plus the shipping. Additionally, in re-reading the posting for the product, I noted that at the end of the posting there is a statement that "the box has no lid".
