This dual-band WRT1200AC 1.3 gigabyte router offers 802.11 AC1200 wireless technologies at an outstanding 54-megabits-per-second data transfer rate, offering consistent throughput in wireless local area networks.Linksys has designed this WRT1200 device to execute OpenWRT, a Linux-based program that’s in partnership with ASUS, which works with a software configuration that promotes and ensures easy and streamlined password configuration and other setting customizations. The firmware provides for a hassle-free reset in addition to a variety of features, such as LAN connection hosting. This ensures that you experience zero to little lag with your Internet activities. The Linksys brand logo is prominently visible on the front of the blue and black device.The WRT1200AC device boasts proprietary N300 AC867 Mbps speeds, which allow for a range of additional activities not available with traditional routers. These include the ability to allow downloading and active broadband usage simultaneously. This means that speeds will not be sacrificed for the sake of usage due to the expanded broadband width. Users can also sync devices, stream Ultra-HD videos, and download content all at the same time. The device also offers a USB eSATA 3.0 female port, which allows for extensive connectivity when paired with the 4 ports available.
