Stopped down, the rings vanish & swirl increases a bit, but sharpness still drops significantly. Interesting to experiment with, but it has too many drawbacks for general use—especially since it incentivizes you to stop down. The sample photos accurately convey the effect, but I wish the drawbacks were mentioned. A fun filter to toy with, but don’t expect amazing swirls.
