Absolutely Great AT&T Telephone!!!
This AT&T phone (actually, two phones) is top-rated by Consumer Reports, and it quickly became apparent why!! The phones, which are compact and attractively designed, are very easy to use - and they provide excellent, clear sound. Compared to some similar phones from other companies, the buttons are large and, therefore, easier to use. The range for this cordless phone is great. Highly recommended!!!!

Pat Conroy's "The Water Is Wide" Is A Must-Read!!!!
This book is a 'must read' for Conroy fans - and for others who certainly will become fans of the author after reading this book!! An autobiographical work, this book tells of Conroy's experiences teaching in a tiny Gullah school on a South Carolina coastal island (Daufuskie Island) that could be reached only by boat; however, the cultural differences between those inhabiting the island and those on the mainland (especially considering the racial bias of the school officials overseeing the island school) were considerable - thus the very meaningful title of the book. The young Conroy attempted not only to provide the expected education to the students but also to provide them with basic life skills and some cultural enlightenment. The book provides a meaningful, often humorous, 'read'!! This book was the basis for the early 1970s film "Conrack" - the title of which came from the inability of the school children to pronounce "Conroy."

A MUST-HAVE BOOK FOR ANY COLLECTION OF ART BOOKS!!!
This superb book includes beautiful recent paintings by Mary Whyte - whose paintings often are difficult to distinguish from photographs!! Depicting highly-detailed scenes of working folks in the South, the paintings reproduced in this book will delight the eye!! Whyte is a quite talented artist, and this book certainly provides a wonderful glimpse of her talent!!!
