This NBA 2K13 for the Xbox 360 game follows in the footsteps of one of the most successful sports video games of all time, "NBA 2K12." This newer version makes good on its promise for more realistic hoops gameplay. Players are able to build their very own basketball dynasty from the ground up. This game keeps you entertained from the tip-off to the final buzzer thanks to additions from executive producer and rapper Jay-Z. The rap superstar influenced everything from the soundtrack to the inclusion of the 1992 and 2012 U.S. Men's National Basketball teams. Visual Concepts developed this sports video game in conjunction with Jay-Z, where it saw a release date of late 2012. Two notable modes are MyCareer and Association. In MyCareer, you can create your own character and customize him to look any way you want. These bountiful customization options include everything from hair and beard style to jersey number and playing position. Whether you want to be a center, power forward, or point guard, MyCareer provides you with that option. Once you've finished customizing your character, you will be put through the NBA draft to start out as a rookie. As for the Association mode, this game mode allows you to create and manage your own team. From player salaries to in-game rotations, you have full control over every facet of the team you choose to manage. Any mode in the game can be played online or offline. When playing offline, you earn skill points that you can use to select useful shooting upgrades. When playing online, you will earn VC that function in much the same way as skill points. Several modes in "NBA 2K13" on the Xbox 360 also allow you to enter online games against other people. This will help you get a better idea of how you measure up against other online talent. If you want, you can also play this "NBA 2K13" game with friends offline in co-op. This feature allows up to four players to play against each other using four separate controllers.
