AUTHOR: Chris Ransted works at The National Archives. His interest in the war years came about as a child, listening to family tales of life in London s docklands during the Blitz. Since a teenager he has collected artefacts and information relating to bomb disposal, and is devoted to keeping the memory of these brave men alive.
