Poor manufacturing tolerances, only one ring will lock into the canners body while the other not. I bought the rings several months ago for a project and now when I wanted to use it found out that is not properly made. It is really sad and hard to explain considering that those rings are quite simple in design. That speak poorly of the KIPON brand!

Very very impressed with Kipon quality and construction, the Chinese have certainly reached a level of production equal to Japanese equipment of the pre-electronic era...Stay with Kipon and don't be attracted to really cheap items, and you will be very happy. I would easily believe this was a Nikon item. Seems to work smoothly and mates perfectly to lens and camera body
