The Nikon AF Zoom Nikkor 35-70mm f/2.8D lens is quite simply one of the enduring titans of modern professional-grade digital photography. This 35-70mm is well-known for producing incredibly sharp images to exacting specifications, with no softening at the corners, even when wide open. This means your landscape photographs will look great. At the same time, it can close-focus down to two feet, and then much closer in macro mode, with no reduction in sharpness. Bees and flowers pop. Stop the aperture all the way down to f/22 and there is no distortion or darkening of corners. This versatility is why it is the perfect go-to lens for travel.
