Where principles sub versive of the natural rights of man are introduced into civil constitutions, they give rise to conicts and jealousies. Such we find in the British constitution, the most free on earth, save our own. All men are equal; yet it discriminates in behalf of classes. The consequences are a limited aristocracy and millions of peasantry; a few thousands of enormous wealth, and hundreds of thousands of squalid beggars.
