The HP X20LED series monitor is a reasonably sized monitor packed with many features. Its 20-inch screen size supports 1600x900 native resolution (60Hz) at 16:9 aspect ratio, which allows for clear, crisp and vivid displays of 720p videos. Like most LCD monitors with 1920x1080 or 1080p resolutions, this monitor’s aspect ratio is resizable to 16:10 for more screen real estate. The 1600x900 TN panel ensures a reasonable response time of 5ms for lag-free gaming. The screen’s anti-glare feature reduces eyes strains and headaches often associated with prolonged exposure to monitor radiations, especially during excessive gaming or when watching movies. This 1600x900 CRT monitor uses white LED backlighting, a more efficient technology that uses up less electricity and allows for a lower operating cost compared with LCD screens. This HP X20LED 1600x900 monitor panel offers a 170-degree horizontal and 160-degree vertical viewing angles, a benefit that is often found in 1920x1080 IPS monitors. Its 1000:1 contrast rating displays deeper blacks instead of just dark gray, which is more apparent when viewed in a darker room. The stand is adjustable and is tilted to an angle most convenient for you. The base provides stable support to the monitor and is removed for easy transport or storage. Its VGA and DVI-D video input ports connect to a compatible external GTX or an embedded GPU on your CPU for optimum display resolution. The DVI-D, in particular, supports a faster data transmission rate and carries a higher quality digital feedback than VGA, giving you the benefit of clearer and much sharper images that rivals that of 1080p displays. The faster transmission rate also helps in keeping your RAM running smoothly as it does not chew up more memory. Because DVI-D transmits digital signal from the source all the way to the display, it reduces image quality degradation brought about by noise and electrical disturbances. This is most apparent when watching videos with 1920x1080 or 1080p native resolutions, but also makes for better viewing experience even in 1600x900 resolutions or 720p videos. DVI-D is compatible with VGA and HDMI standards, which allows you to use a cable or adapter compatible with a computer that lacks a DVI-D port. The built-in HDCP technology supports high-definition content and lets you stream 1920x1080 or 1080p resolution videos on your screen, although the quality may be downscaled to 720p. The monitor also reads original gaming audios and videos, and protects and provides security against illegal reproduction of digital video and audio content. The onscreen display adjustments allow for easy setup and optimization of your HP X20LED 1600x900 pixel screen. If English is not your native language, you can change it into French, Spanish, Russian, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Portuguese, or Korean. The OSD allows you to adjust the screen’s information, brightness, contrast, and dynamic contrast ratio. Choosing the Eco Mode adjusts the options into Standard Mode while the autokey function automatically fine-tunes the backlit display, clock, size and phase whenever a new video mode is displayed, eliminating the need to search and apply these options when necessary. The HP X20LED 1600x900 monitor is a plug and play device and does not take up your RAM space. It works with any Windows operating software and desktop computers. Just connect the VGA or DVI-D cable to the computer and plug the power cable to a power source and your CPU detects it automatically. The CD included in the monitor hardware and accessories box contains drivers and software that you use to install digitally signed monitor drivers for better compatibility.
