I dont know USPS practices. However, I assure you that your item, given its small size and requires only one (1) first-class stamp, is an easy mail out. it was mailed the next business day. It was certainly not mailed out 3 days later, that I can assure you. However, that said I don't know why your photo shows postmark by the Santa Clarita Post office which is over 73 miles away from where it was mailed in Bakersfield CA 93301
