You can shoot in aperture priority mode, and the XG-1 will assist you in making all of your exposure choices. Even when set to auto, you have great image control. You can set manual focus on any lens compatible with Minolta MD lens mounts. Minolta lenses are also sometimes referred to as Rokkor. Additional features include battery-powered operation, exposure compensation, an electronically timed shutter, TTL flash auto exposure, and a self-timer.
