    This canister was offered for sale but arrived with no lid gasket. The seller pointed out that the gasket was not specifically included in the item description and the fact that it was missing was not evident from the photos the seller provided, but not having the translucent plastic gasket makes the canister unusable. I did not wish to pay to return such a bulky item for a refund of the purchase price. The seller was not responsive to my concerns; no accommodation was made. I suspect bad faith.

    The canister, as shipped, is usable with its appropriate lid that was sent as accurately described. It is vintage and as with any canister lid with age and use the plastic ring may come off. It certainly functions as a canister to store items within its glass jar, and the gasket only provides a tighter fit. It was offered at such a discount and fairly priced for its flaw. Communication was given to this buyer in a timely manner to address this issue and a refund was offered per the return policy
