Bought this combo as a backup for fishing tight streams this rod is awesome although it is short sacrificing distance it is not an issue for the right areas I still have great control is super light and bendy and makes for some exciting catches delivery was fast and well packaged to protect contents but with confidence and enjoy this combo in your local streams and back waters thanks guys

I find the 15lb test Maxcatch shooting line to be very good for both trout spey running line with lighter weight Skagit heads and as a euro nymphing line when teamed with a 12 to 15 ft mono leader. The line is supple, has little memory and is excellent value.
