The item I purchased was advertised as "New". It was 20.00 when most pre-owned versions were less than 10.00. When I got the item it was not new it was pre-owned as was evident by a signed inscription and the date of 1998 by the author. I contacted the seller and they did agree to take the item back but refused to just discount the book.
