The 1.6-pound design is crafted from a rugged aluminum alloy. It is easy to use in the field, in part because of features like aperture priority automatic exposure capability and step-less shutter speeds. Combine it with your favorite Carl Zeiss lens to create crisp, sharp negatives capable of producing exhibition-quality photographic enlargements. To get full value from this camera, use it with the CFE series of lenses. The camera is also compatible with all F series lenses and CF series lenses featuring focal lengths from 30mm to 500mm. The 80mm standard lens and the 110mm portrait lens are versatile for a photographer's many needs. Expand lens functionality with the use of 2x and/or 1.4x teleconverters. The 203FE is also compatible with all Hasselblad lenses and most Hasselblad type equipment manufactured since 1957. Featuring shutter speeds of as fast as 1/2000 of a second, the Hasselblad 203FE camera can be used to freeze the action at sports events and concerts. Such high shutter speeds on these cameras are achieved through the use of a lightweight but durable silk textile curtain and a precise internal electronic timer. The "b" bulb setting offers even more versatility to the photo enthusiast interested in longer exposures. Electronic speeds with 1/12-stop accuracy give the photographer real confidence in film exposures. The camera comes standard with a waist-level viewfinder. Upgrade to 90-degree or 45-degree prism viewfinders if desired for even more versatile photography. Thanks to electronic operation and automated mirror return, it is possible to shoot up to 1.3 frames per second. This camera body is appropriate for professionals and enthusiasts who desire the rapid-fire creation of high-quality medium format negatives with professional lenses. The electronic functions are powered by a 6V PX28L lithium battery or its equivalent. The automatic battery monitor in the viewfinder alerts you when it is time to change the battery.Engineers at the Hasselblad company designed special E12 and E24 film magazines, which offer ISO-setting capability. Enjoy a wide ISO range from 12 to 6400 when using this Hasselblad camera body. It is also possible to use this Hasselblad in manual mode. The 203FE SLR offers dedicated flash synchronization up to 1/90 second with TTL metering.
