Agricultural meteorology or agrometeorology is a sub-discipline of applied meteorology which is concerned with the study of the relationship between weather and agricultural production. It is a biophysical science which focuses on making use of weather information to enhance the quantity and quality of crop production. Various other disciplines contribute to this subject such as soil physics, chemistry, hydrology, phenology and agronomy. Agricultural climatology or agroclimatology is a branch of science which deals with the study of the influence of climate on conditions of agricultural plants and animal husbandry.
