F1 World Grand Prix: 1999 Season from Eidos Interactive is a Formula One racing game that is based on the 1999 world championship racing event. The game puts you in the seat of the 22nd participant in the races. You are given a firsthand view of the challenging competition that real racers face every day.<br><br>The game features full FOA support so all 11 of the real teams and 22 drivers are included. Each car is also modeled accurately from its real counterpart, down to its smallest details. The developers in fact insist that if you are able to drive well, your lap times for the different circuits should be very similar to the real ones from the 1999 season. The tracks are also replicated from the immediate area surrounding it, to the areas well beyond the normal scope of a racing game.<br><br>The game also features a two-player split-screen mode, an Arcade and Simulation mode, a Scenario mode where you can play your favorite races multiple times with friends, and a car Set-Up mode that promises to keep you involved for hours.<br><br>F1 World Grand Prix: 1999 Season includes infinite camera angles, including a 3D cockpit view, TV director control over replays, helicopter fly-overs for all 16 circuits and driving aids. Some of the cars that you can race with include: Arrows, B.A.R., Benetton, Jordan, Minardi, Prost, Stewart, Williams, McLaren, Ferrari and Sauber.<br><br>A new feature from Eidos Interactive deals with the computer's Artificial Intelligence. The computer adapts itself to your level of play by means of different parameters. This means that if you are a beginner, you will have a very competitive race, but the other racers will not be on a higher level than you will. The game also uses a memory card and is compatible with the Dual Shock Analog Controller.
