This was a well made base and thumb screw but I should have measured more carefully. I am using it on a 1/4” diameter metal rod and the thumb screw doesn’t tighten down that small, so I put the rod inside a socket (mechanical wrench sort of thing that is round) and the thumb screw holds it tight. Not ideal in the adaptive manner I was trying to use it, but again, it’s a well-made product and if used as intended it would be great.
