There are chapters on office practice production techniques that use computers, scissor drafting, pin registration, and applique copier processes. In addition, the book discusses the evolution of various details and how they are influenced by code restrictions, design, materials, and structural conditions. Finally, related information is provided about wood construction, such as window and floor construction, stairs, cabinet details, fireplace studies, beam connections, retaining walls, balcony flashing, glass roof details, insulation and flashing conditions, and special construction problems. Amply illustrated, the book includes in many instances the standards established by the American Institute of Architects.
