With easy to read charts and instructions you can make garments from extra small to plus size belly dance clothing. There are clever charts giving dimensions for multiple sizes and lengths in the key garments. So whatever your size you can create your own beautiful garment and feel wonderful. The patterns are aimed at the beginner or improver belly dancer who wants to sew a basic dancer's wardrobe. There are seven garments to make: harem pants, circle skirt, over skirt, bra and belt set (bedlah), veils and yashmak. The booklet assumes you have basic sewing skills such as making a hem, sewing a seam and using a sewing machine. The author: Karen Pilkington-Puddephatt approaches the subject from being a belly dance performer, teacher and costume seller and also an experienced creator of belly dance costumes. She spent many years trawling the costume bazaars of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey and opened the first belly dance shop in England.
