The Power Of Love is a book of 2 short stories about people facing and working to overcome obstacles that threaten to derail their lives in one way or another. The first book is Just Hold Me Down, it depicts the lives of a couple in a temperamental relationship, who are suddenly put in a position where they are forced to prove that even through all the bull, they got each other back, and will hold one another down. The second book is Closure, a young woman who has spent 6 years of her life being tormented by the memory of her past, is finally given the opportunity to face her demons head up. She eagerly embarks on a journey, believing that it will lead her to a place that will free her of the ghosts of her past, but what she discovers will rock her to her core. I ordered per the description a hardback edition of the book. When it arrived, it was paperback. I prefer paperback books for my library. The seller was gracious to hopefully refund the cost and I will donate the book to my church library. Also, I hope to have a hardback autographed someday, I am a retired nurse that worked with Dr. Verghese in the early 80s in Johnson City TN and he later wrote "My Own Country."
