It also speeds up the process of accessing and retrieving external data, with a transfer rate of up to 300 Mbps while a seek time of only 11 seconds means rapid synchronizing with your computer, further shortening the time between installation and access to your files. A buffer size of 8 MB makes tasks such as audio recording smooth. To top it all, the Barracuda is quiet, thanks to its low sound emission of 30 dB.

Drives are great, but keep in mind that they still have NetApp firmware on them. They behave a little differently from drives with HGST firmware, and are a little more verbose in error reporting.
