Instead of royalty, Grace's ties were in entertainment: one uncle was a comedian; another a playwright. Despite her shyness, Grace won lead roles in high school, then attended the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduating, she auditioned for forty Broadway shows--and got nowhere.
