Item arrived on time, well-packed (double boxed) in excellent condition. Item had the correct plug and the tool earthed as checked by measurement. Earth wire gauge and termination method not verified. The power cord is hard-wired to the back of the unit. The manual is in English and Chinese, small but covers the required topics and is easily readable. The unit requires a small amount of assembly, completed trouble free. The unit powered up and worked as advertised immediately. Would buy again.

BUY REAL HAKKO TIPS! I was warned that the included tip isn’t so great so I ordered a Hakko tip anyways, but the included tip turned out to be a dud right out of the box which rendered the iron completely useless. Also - don’t follow the instructions on how to install the tip. I can only assume they’re for a different model. If you unscrew the handle first, not only will the whole guts of the iron pull out, but the handle can’t be reassembled. The tips simply push in and pull out. That’s it.
