"Modern" is a good term. The Freedom 55's work well for that application. Slight bite with good articulation. This set reminds me of the Fender Yosemites (which is an AN4/2 design), but with just a little more detail, low-end punch and top-end sparkle, while being less in-your-face about it. Very satisfied. Excellent vendor, quality product. A+
