I am a "horse poor mom" and the child of "horse poor" parents. My horse show career started in the second grade and continued until I left for college. I was one of those kids who wanted to try it all -- Western, English, Gaming -- so my horse habit became even more expensive as I collected horses and added new disciplines. Years later, when my daughter started showing, her equine interests ranged from gaming to dressage. So, we needed lots of tack and many show clothes. Even so, I didn't want to buy low-end tack or outdated show clothes. Instead, I wanted high-end show clothes and quality tack at bargain prices. So, I became a bit of an expert in keeping and showing "horses on a budget". After years of urging by friends, Horses on a Budget was founded in 2014. My goal is to provide you with a mix of quality new and used tack, show clothes and stable items at affordable prices. Because I love sterling silver and western jewelry, you'll find plenty of these items too.
