Viltrox EF-M1 AF Lens Mount Adapter Auto Focus Aperture Control VR MINT
2019-05-28
Best *affordable* EF-M43 adapter I've used so far
It seems like this has been tried for years - getting consistent results adapting DSLR lenses to mirrorless, in this case Micro 4/3. The results with this particular adapter are, for the most part, impressive. Using several different Micro 4/3 bodies (G9, G85, GX85, EM10 II), I get quick and accurate autofocus 90+ percent of the time with most of my EF and EF-S lenses. This is for single autofocus and tracking (works especially well on my G9), but ONLY in stills... AF tracking in video is still hit or miss and very much lens dependent. In-lens image stabilization works, as do aperture controls. Lenses I've used with very good results: EF 85mm 1.8 USM, EF 24-105 f4 L, EF-S 55-250 STM, 50mm 1.8 STM. The only lens that really struggled was the Tamron 28-300 VC PZD. To have the ability to use - with confidence - my EF lenses has really made it more reasonable to run Canon and Micro 4/3 systems in parallel. The 85 and 55-250, in particular, are nice to be able to use instead of doubling up on their M43 counterparts.
MEIKE 35MM F/1.7 FOR SONY E-MOUNT

Great for the money
Most pictures don't show exactly how small this lens is, but it's super compact, and an a6000 it makes for an easy carry-anywhere combo. Build quality is very good, aperture and focus rings are both smooth but with the right amount of resistance. Both the aperture and focus on this lens are manual, so you're doing all the work, but that was part of the appeal to me. Image quality, especially considering the price, is surprisingly good. Wide open (at f1.7) there's decent central sharpness, but once you stop down a little the center gets quite sharp. By 2.8 most of the frame is sharp, and by f4 it's very sharp all around. Colors look natural, and there's a decent amount of contrast. Distortion is definitely present. It's barrel distortion, and if you're planning to do mostly architectural shots (or anything with lots of straight lines), it takes some work in post-processing. It's roughly the same type and degree of distortion exhibited by the Sigma 30mm f1.4 Contemporary. All things considered, it's hard to knock this lens when you consider the price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or buy again.

Tamron 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 AF DSLR Camera Lens For Nikon Digital SLR

Remarkably good for the price
Using this adapted to a Nikon Z6 with the FTZ adapter. You don't get autofocus, but the electrical contacts allow you to adjust the aperture in camera, and exif data is recorded. Also, because the camera can read there focal length, it will adjust the stabilizer settings accordingly. Image quality is really good, even wide open; stopped down to f8 yields excellent sharpness and CA goes away. It's made of mostly plastic, which I think is a pro, since it's not going to make the camera front-heavy. On the Z6 with the adapter it's about the same size / weight as the 24-70 f4 kit lens. It's not optically perfect, but for the price, I don't think there's anything else that comes close.
